Brad Casey

Brad Casey serves as Chief Underwriter, Agency Lending, overseeing all underwriting functions for NewPoint Real Estate Capital’s Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loan origination platform. With more than 20 years of multifamily finance experience, Mr. Casey brings a wealth of expertise in front-end screening, underwriting team management, credit processes, and risk management.

Mr. Casey joined NewPoint through its acquisition of Barings Multifamily Capital in 2021. Prior to that, he served as Managing Director and Chief Underwriter at Arbor Realty Trust, and as Deputy Chief Underwriter at PNC Real Estate and its predecessor, ARCS Commercial Mortgage Company. Earlier in his career, he held positions at Washington Mutual and ORIX Capital Markets.

He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Economics from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master of Science in Land Development from Texas A&M University.
